  Description : I. BACKGROUND :
  Ecotourism sites/attractions in Metro Manila is quite limited in comparison with the other regions in the Philippines. But this limitation compensates with the inclusion of the La Pinas -Paranaque Wetland Park in the list of “Ramsar Sites “ in 2013, meaning a “wetland of international importance” and a “protected area” in 2018 under the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS).
  Metropolitan Manila is an instant hit with its theme “It All Starts Here”. Ecotourism is set apart by its emphasis on conservation, education, traveler responsibility and active community participation.
  II. OBJECTIVES
   To identify ecotourism sites in the National Capital Region consistent with the standards
   and guidelines set by the United Nations;
   To draft action plans for ecotourism development in the National Capital Region;
   To enjoin all REC-NCR members to actively support all ecotourism activities and events in the National Capital Region .
