Description : The Project involves construction of Sanitary Landfill Cell 2 (Phase I) with Leachate Collection System. Specifically, the Project involves the following scope of work:
-Common excavation, earth berm construction, and subgrade preparation shall be carried out to the specified grades and properly compacted.
-Construct the embankment for the earth bund retaining wall with adequate compaction.
-Laying of Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) and HDPE Geomembrane Liner
-Install 6" diameter perforated HDPE lateral pipelines covered with a non-woven geotextile filter.
-Install 6" diameter non-perforated HDPE pipe for effluent conveyance (roughing-in).
-Install 8" diameter non-perforated HDPE main pipelines.
-Place the non-woven geotextile filter and gravel filter over the leachate pipelines.
-Construct a 300 mm thick soil embankment free from sharp objects, on top of the liner.
-All works shall comply with the approved drawings, program of works, and technical specifications.
