The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable contractor to develop a training prgramme and deliver training and support in data cleaning, management, analysis, and visualisation using R Studio.BACKGROUNDThe COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for data to be rapidly and routinely cleaned, analysed and disseminated to drive evidence-based policy decisions. Managing and analysing large datasets requires unique skills and training in specialised statistical software.In the Philippines, the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) hosts the Philippine National Influenza Center (PNIC) and a number of National Reference Laboratories (NRL) for other viruses, bacteria and parasites in humans and animals. One of the mandates of the NRLs is to conduct surveillance and research studies related to infectious diseases in the country. Additionally, the Department of Health Epidemiology Bureau collate and report surveillance data for a number of diseases with a combination of routine and event-based reporting contributing to multi-source surveillance outputs in the country.Enhancing the capacity of...
