Air Canada-s new route filled a significant gap in the market, as the Philippines was previously the largest market in Asia without direct Air Canada service. Last April 02, 2025, Air Canada started operating thrice weekly flights between Vancouver, Canada, and Manila NAIA Terminal 3, Philippines, utilizing its flagship Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, known for its enhanced passenger comfort and fuel efficiency on long-haul flights.
