I. Background of the Item Being Procured
General Overview of the Procurement Project
The Information Management Service (IMS) is looking to expand and upgrade its fleet of servers. With the rise of AI applications, the IMS also looks into developing AI applications for the University-s use. Thus, the Information Management Service (IMS) is proposing to procure additional HCI servers, some of which with GPUs, to enable the capability of training and deploying AI applications. Furthermore, networking components will also be included in the procurement, as these are essential to ensure that all HCI servers, including the existing ones, will be in high availability (HA) configuration.

The budget for the Project is thirty-two million pesos (PhP 32,000,000.00) and is included in the approved Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) for 2025.
