Description : I. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Simula ng Panibagong Bukas Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SIPBU MPC) was established in 1998 and registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) under registration number 9520-03001737. The cooperative's dairy module project began on November 16, 2001, when they received 25 heifers and one bull from the Carabao-Based Enterprise Development program of the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) through the National Impact Zone. The strong interest and commitment of the cooperative members demonstrated their dedication to the project, establishing SIPBU MPC and its members as model dairy entrepreneurs in the Philippines. The cooperative has since earned several prestigious awards, including PCC-s National Award for Best Dairy Cooperative and Best Dairy Farmers, which attracted many other farmers to engage in buffalo dairy enterprises. Additionally, SIPBU MPC was recognized as the Best Producer Cooperative in Milk Production in the province and DTI-s Best SSF in 2023.
