The Terra Madre Asia and the Pacific is a biennial gathering organized under the global Slow Food Movement, which advocates for sustainable, inclusive, and culturally grounded food systems. This 2025 edition will be hosted in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental—a venue with strong reputation as a champion of community-based and sustainable food practices. The DOT NCR Regional Office proposes its active participation in this major international event. The Regional Office, in collaboration with Slow Food Manila, seeks to highlight the region-s diverse culinary landscape, showcase local products and food traditions, and support initiatives that strengthen the link between tourism and sustainable food systems. This partnership reflects DOT NCR-s commitment to advancing sustainable gastronomy tourism while empowering local food communities and promoting Filipino culture on an international platform.
