1.Should be listed in AOAC
2.Dehydrated appearance should be Light tan with greenish cast, free-flowing, homogeneous.
3. 8.9% solution, soluble in purified water upon boiling. Solution is forest green, very slightly opalescent.
4. Prepared appearance should be Green, slightly opalescent.
5. pH of the prepared medium should be 8.6 ± 0.2
