  Description : I. Background
  Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) serve as the backbone of the Philippine economy, comprising 99.59% of all businesses and providing 65% of the country's jobs (PSA, 2023). Despite this vital role, many MSMEs- especially those owned by women-face barriers to growth due to limited access to technology, gaps in digital skills, and inadequate business management systems. Research highlights the benefits of digital transformation.
  
  A 2022 World Bank study on Women Entrepreneurs and Digitalization in Southeast Asia found that adopting digital tools and automation can boost productivity and efficiency by 20-30%. Yet, women-led MSMES often struggle to embrace these solutions, hindered by limited digital training, low digital literacy, and challenges in using e-commerce platforms and managing operations effectively. To address these gaps, the E-TAAS ang Pinay MSME Program was created to equip Filipino women entrepreneurs with essential digital skills and tools, enabling them to succeed in the online marketplace.
