SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF ICT OFFICE PRODUCTIVITY EQUIPMENT

I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVE

As part of its three-year strategic plan to enhance the quality of services provided to its stakeholders, the Philippine Racing Commission (PHILRACOM) is undertaking the procurement of new information and communications technology (ICT) office productivity equipment to improve operational efficiency and support PHILRACOM-s long-term goal of modernizing its services to the public.

A recent inventory conducted revealed that the majority of PHILRACOM-s desktops and laptops have already exceeded their optimal service life. Many of which have become obsolete, non-functional, or beyond economical repair, and are no longer capable of supporting the demands of current workloads or modern software technologies. The situation poses several operational risks, including equipment breakdowns, potential data loss, and delays in the delivery of services, all of which can severely hamper the agency-s day-to-day operations.
