  I. Overview
  The Newborn Screening Reference Center (NSRC) is mandated by Republic Act 9288 otherwise known as the Newborn Screening Act of 2004 to maintain national testing database and patient registries. Databases and all other systems and programs utilized by the newborn screening program are maintained and managed at NSRC network collocated at the IMS and at the NSRC office. NSRC has been using hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) for management and monitoring of performance of these networks since 2021.
