Description : I. BACKGROUND
Digital Forensics and Incident Response Service is a specialized field within cyber security that focuses on identifying, investigating and mitigating security incidents involving digital systems, it combines forensic techniques to uncover evidence of malicious activity with incident response strategies to contain and remediate threats. Activities to be conducted under this includes, malware analysis, log review, data recovery and threat hunting all aimed at restoring system integrity and protecting sensitive information.
In lieu, of the recent reported data breach and leakage incident with the Student and Faculty Portal and due to the technical nature of the project and requirements, UDM is seeking the assistance of an external and reputable Service Provider to perform a Digital Forensics and Incident Response Service that would:
Conduct a full forensic investigation to determine the root cause of the attack (data breach and leakage)
Trace and pinpoint the attack source(s)
Obtain and extract attack evidences
