Description : OBJECTIVES

The conduct of the Hilot practitioners training aims to achieve the following:

· To support the recognition of Hilot as a legitimate Filipino wellness modality as well as the accreditation of Hilot practitioners;

· To equip practitioners with foundational and advanced knowledge and skills in Hilot principles, practices, techniques, and standards, while integrating scientific principles and holistic health approaches;

· To strengthen the competencies of practitioners in Hilot techniques and practices through structured, competency-based training, while increasing awareness and appreciation of Philippine traditional healing practices;

· To preserve and promote safe, ethical, and culturally respectful practices of Filipino indigenous healing traditions, as well as to strengthen community-based wellness initiatives;

· To familiarize practitioners with the Department of Tourism-s initiatives to further develop, enhance, and promote wellness tourism and its impact on Philippine tourism;
