Description : BACKGROUND AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LEGAL BASIS
The tourism industry of Western Visayas, including Negros Occidental, significantly contributes to its regional economic growth. In 2024, the tourism receipts of the region were estimated at 74.2 billion pesos, computed from its total number of overnight visitors, owing to the diverse offerings of its destinations and services.
To improve the visitor experience and keep up with the needs and services provided for its clientele, the crafting of its investment portfolio by convening destination managers and investment specialists of each HUC and province in a workshop setup activity will be a helpful guide for the prioritization of destinations, facilities, and services.
