I. PROPOSED DATE: 2nd Quarter of 2026

II. PROPOSED VENUE: Balinsasayaw Twin Lake Natural Park, Sibulan, Negros Oriental and Apo Island Marine Reserve, Dauin, Negros Oriental

III. BACKGROUND:

Republic Act 9593 or the Tourism Act of 2009 mandates the Department of Tourism to be the primary agency responsible for the primary planning, programming, coordinating, implementing, and regulatory government agency in the development of the tourism industry, for both domestic and international markets.

Republic Act No. 11038, an Act Declaring Protected Areas and Providing for Their Management, amending for This Purpose Republic Act No. 7586, Otherwise Known as the "National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS) Act of 1992" and for Other Purposes.

Section 9. Section 11 of the Republic Act No. 7586 is hereby amended to read as follows:
