Description : I. BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has launched the Rural Agro-enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development and Growth (RAPID Growth) Project in support of the administration-s socio-economic agenda. This agenda emphasizes the development of rural enterprises, enhancement of value chains, improved competitiveness, ease of doing business, investment in human capital, alignment of skills with industry needs, accelerated infrastructure development, and the promotion of innovation through science and technology.

The RAPID Growth Project is currently being implemented in seven regions across Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, covering 21 target provinces—including Sultan Kudarat.

In Sultan Kudarat, the project is rolling out four Detailed Investment Plans (DIPs) designed to benefit approximately 6,131 smallholder farming households. These plans focus on three high-value commodities: coffee, cacao, and coconut.
