IV. PROJECT BACKGROUND and OBJECTIVES

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), in collaboration with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Department of Tourism (DOT), Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), and Bureau of Customs (BOC), has officially launched the Electronic Travel Information (eTravel) System. This unified digital platform collects travel data from all international passenger and crew arriving in or departing from the Philippines.

The eTravel System enhances border control, health surveillance, tourism data analysis, and immigration processes by enabling real-time, accurate, and secure digital data collection. This system is institutionalized, and supports the government-s initiative for modernization, improved service delivery, and stronger national security.
