Description : The “Dive Familiarization Tour in Davao Region for Thai Dive Operators” to be held on July 21-25, 2025 is a strategic initiative led by the Department of Tourism XI. In partnership with Cebu Pacific, the activity is aimed at positioning Davao Region as a premier and must-experience dive tourism destination among Thailand market and Southeast Asian market in general. Recognizing the growing interest in marine-based travel experiences among Thai divers, the project seeks to introduce key representatives from Thailand-s dive industry to the rich underwater attractions of the region—including dive sites in the Island Garden City of Samal and City of Mati.

The familiarization tour will provide Thai dive operators with firsthand experiences of Davao-s dive offerings including its rich marine biodiversity, as well as the LGU-led and community-based sustainable tourism initiatives.
