I. BACKGROUND

Established under the Republic Act 9593, the Tourism Coordinating Council (TCC) is an inter-agency body tasked to coordinate national tourism development efforts, including implementing the National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP). The Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary serves as the Chairperson with heads of the DOT Attached Agencies, National Government Agencies (NGAs), and representatives of public and private sectors as members.

The DOT as the lead agency in the overall implementation of the NTDP 2023-2028 strategic action programs in convergence and partnership with the identified NGAs shall assign specific action plans to its internal offices as well as its regional and foreign offices, and attached agencies; initiate the involvement of tourism, travel-related private sector and non-government organizations, civic bodies and academe; and represent the council t...
