The Department of Tourism Region IV-A, in line with the National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) 2023-2028, will undertake a Cruise Tourism Validation and Assessment in the Province of Batangas. This activity forms part of the Department-s continuing efforts to strengthen the cruise tourism value chain and enhance the region-s readiness as a competitive, sustainable, and inclusive cruise destination in Southern Luzon.

Anchored on the NTDP-s strategic pillars of Connectivity and Convenience and Destination Development and Equalization, this initiative seeks to assess the operational capacities, infrastructure, and tourism readiness of Batangas- key port facilities and surrounding destinations. The activity aims to identify opportunities for developing sustainable cruise tourism circuits, ensuring that benefits extend to local communities, small enterprises, and cultural heritage sites.
