A. PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour is joint project of the Department of Tourism, Department
of Foreign Affairs, and Rajah Tour Philippines which will bring foreign tourists from United States. In line
with its mandate in encouraging, developing, and promoting tourism products of the region, has
highlighted the familiarization tour to the tourist attractions of Region 1.
The activity aim to showcase our region-s rich cultural heritage and diverse tourist attractions,
thereby promoting Ilocos Region as premier travel destination. It also allows visitors to experience the
region-s from stunning beaches, vibrant coral reefs, rich cultural heritage, and diverse local products,
including souvenirs and food.
