Description : 1. BACKGROUND

The Department of Tourism - Administration and Finance Sector has initiated the implementation of the Planning and Financial Information (PFIS) to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and support strategic and financial reporting across the Department.

In support of this initiative and to ensure its smooth and efficient rollout, procurement of a modern hardware is essential. It is recognized that many of the currently issued units have been in use for several years and may no longer be optimized for sustained, high-performance tasks required by PFIS operations.

Provision of new productivity laptops will help ensure system stability, processing efficiency, and user responsiveness—particularly for system administrators and key personnel involved in day-to-day management and troubleshooting. These devices are expected to minimize potential delays or disruptions caused by performance limitations, compatibility issues, or hardware failures, especially during critical phases of implementation.
