Description : WHEREAS, Sec. 53.12 Community Participation states that the procuring entity may procure Goods and Simple Infrastructure Projects subject to the Guidelines issued by the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) in the interest of project sustainability or to achieve certain specific social objectives wherein it is desirable in selected projects, or its components, to call for participation of local communities through Community or Social Groups, or members thereof;

WHEREAS, the GPPB has already issued the guidelines for Community Participation through GPPB Resolution No. 18-2021 which states among others that the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) for Goods and Simple Infrastructure Projects should not exceed Five Million Pesos (PhP5,000,000.00);
