GENERAL INFORMATION

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) recognizes the vital role of information and communications technology in nation-building and declares its policy to promote an environment for the development of infrastructure that would ensure the availability and accessibility to reliable and secure internet access suitable to the needs of the nation.

OBJECTIVE

The DICT-s Free Wi-Fi for All Program is a digital empowerment program which aims to connect Filipinos nationwide through the provision of free wi-fi in public places in accordance with Republic Act No. 10929, also known as the “Free Internet Access in Public Places Act”.
