IV. PROJECT BACKGROUND and OBJECTIVES
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), in partnership with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), and Department of Tourism (DOT) use the Electronic Travel Information (eTravel) System, a unified digital platform to collect travel data from all international passengers and crew arriving in or departing from the Philippines.
In line with this, the DOT through the Statistics, Economic Analysis and Information Management Division (SEAIMD) will conduct the Alignment of Data Collection Systems Workshop to further align and standardize data collection methods across agencies, identify and address challenges to improve system functionality, and promote inter-agency collaboration and coordinated implementation.
