PROJECT BACKGROUND
This project aims to identify, assess, and validate the existing inventory of regional health and
wellness sites within Region 1 through the conduct of research and consultation and to prepare the
potential health and wellness sites which shall form part of a region-wide health and wellness project
through the partnership with a state university in the region.
In a global scale, wellness tourism is a trillion dollar market based on research (GWI, 2024).
