PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Department of Tourism Central office implements and conducts an annual year end
planning and strategic planning workshop of the agency-s plans and programs wherein
operating units, as well as regional offices, are expected to assess, present, and reprogram
their projects and activities aligned to the agency-s core objectives and mandate to ensure
maximum accomplishment of the targets set at the end of each calendar year.
Furthermore, the regional offices are not only expected to accomplish their set goals in
their work plan, but also to implement downloaded projects and activities from various
sectors by the central office as well as exposing employees to current trends in the industry
outside the region through first-hand experience and immersion in destinations with best
practices.
