Description : OTOP Philippines is a key government initiative designed to stimulate the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through tailored support for locally driven economic development. This program empowers communities to identify, enhance, and promote products or services rooted in their cultural heritage—areas where they excel or are widely recognized.
Building on the success of the first-generation program, OTOP Next Gen is the Department of Trade and Industry-s (DTI) initiative to elevate these products and services. It provides MSMEs with a comprehensive package of public-private sector assistance, enabling them to refine or create improved offerings with significant advancements in quality, product design, standards compliance, marketability, production capacity, brand development, and other key areas.
Products under OTOP are selected based on three primary factors:
1. Cultural Value - Items tied to heritage, traditions, or time-honored recipes passed down through generations.
