TERMS OF REFERENCE

MASCOT DESIGN AND MODELING

BACKGROUND

The Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) was established by virtue of Executive Order No. 307 (“Establishing an Occupational Safety and Health Center in the Employees- Compensation Commission”), signed by then-President Corazon C. Aquino on 4 November 1987.

The OSHC is mandated to undertake studies and research on occupational safety and health (OSH); plan, develop, and implement training programs on OSH; implement information dissemination initiatives on OSH; monitor working environments; undertake practical testing for personal protective and safety devices; and assist government agencies in policy formulation related to OSH.

As part of its official branding, the agency intends to make use of an enhanced mascot that will embody the ideals of occupational safety and health and a vision with zero accidents, injuries, and fatalities at work. It should also be visually appealing, gender-neutral, likeable, and relatable.
