Description : I. OBJECTIVE
The project aims to continue the protection of SBC-s IT resources like servers, laptop and desktop from ransomware, a type of malware attack in which attacker locks and encrypts the victim-s data, important files and then demands a payment to unlock and decrypt the data. This software protection specializes in these types of attacks that complement our existing endpoint (antivirus) protection which is already installed in all our computer systems.
II. SCOPE OF WORK
The project calls for the renewal of the network security module license of Sophos CryptoGuard to be used in SBC-s IT resources. This subscription-based license upon renewal will continue to protect all computers deployed in the head office and branches with one year subscription period from May 2026 to May 2027.
