In line with the Tourism Industry Skills Program (TISP), the Department of Tourism is assisting several stakeholders in the conduct of various training programs to address tourism skills gaps, upgrade HRD practices for tourism industry for increased customer satisfaction, enhanced competitiveness and profitability in the tourism sector.

The Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) designation provides recognition for those individuals who know how to deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences, and to improve the knowledge and skills of target participants on achieving a new standard of exceptional service. It intends to certify the tourism workforce on Guest Service while learning the seven segments focus on: authenticity, intuition, empathy, delight, delivery, initiative and being a champion.
