Description : 1. General Description
The project involves the supply, fabrication, and installation of stainless steel handrails along the second-floor hallways of the Quisumbing South and Quisumbing East Buildings to ensure student and personnel safety and enhance accessibility and support.
2. Specific Work Activities
The contractor shall perform the following:
A. Site Preparation
• Conduct site inspection and measurement of designated areas.
• Remove any obstruction or materials that may hinder the installation.
• Ensure that the work area is clean, secure, and safe for installation activities.
B. Materials and Fabrication
• Supply stainless steel pipes, elbows, brackets, and other necessary accessories.
• All stainless steel materials shall be Grade 304, corrosion-resistant, with a polished finish.
• Handrails shall be fabricated to conform to local building codes and safety standards.
C. Installation
• Install handrails at a uniform height of 34 to 38 inches from the floor level.
