Description : Supply and Installation of Emergency Staircase Canopy
1. Objective:
To supply and install a durable and weather-resistant canopy structure over the emergency staircase to provide protection against the elements and ensure safe passage for students, faculty, and staff.
2. Description of Work
The contractor shall complete the following tasks:
a. Pre-Construction Activities
• Conduct a site inspection and measurement of the emergency staircase area.
• Submit a proposed design for the canopy including structural layout, materials, and finish.
• Secure necessary permits or clearances (in coordination with the school or agency).
b. Supply of Materials
• Provide all necessary materials for the canopy including:
o Galvanized steel framing or structural metal tubes
o Polycarbonate roofing sheets or long-span metal roofing (UV-resistant)
o Bolts, anchors, sealants, welding materials, and paint
o Supporting accessories (flashing, gutters, fasteners, etc.)
• All materials must be new, high-quality, rustproof, and compliant with national building standards.
