I. Background and Rationale
In line with the Agency's continuing efforts to improve administrative efficiency and promote paperless operations, the procurement of high-speed, network-capable document scanners is being undertaken. The scanners will be distributed to bureaus/offices/divisions to facilitate faster and more secure digitization of office records and other official documents.
This initiative will help streamline internal workflows, ensure proper safekeeping of records, and support compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173) and the National Archives of the Philippines' guidelines on records management and disposal.
Through the decentralized deployment of scanners, each unit will be able to manage its own digitization requirements and maintain accurate, easily retrievable electronic records.
