I. PROPOSED DATE: May 13-14, 2025

III. BACKGROUND:

With the Department of Tourism-s goal to help our tourism organizations and promote inclusivity, DOT Region VI will conduct a Food Safety and Sanitation Training for the DOT-accredited Restaurants in Iloilo City and Iloilo Province on May 13-14, 2025.

This course is technical and must be attended by subject experts, owners, and managers
for full awareness of food safety and sanitation in the new normal.

IV. PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES:

1. Define basic principles in food hygiene.
2. Identify different types of bacteria that may lead to food poisoning.
3. Inspire the tourism industry in particular, and the Filipino nation in general, into taking pro-active measures to become more resilient to food safety and handling.
