BACKGROUNDThe WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific (WPRO) is promoting the creation of a culture of data-use to foster and enable a more strategic use of data for regular programmatic reviews and improved decision-making for improved health services and better health outcomes across the western pacific region. In 2022, the design of the (data management) competency framework was completed, approved for publication and was successfully rolled out on a trial basis on selected data management roles in Papua New Guinea. Building on this success, this TOR describes the rationale for and details of the next phase of the project-s activities.
