PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Department of Tourism Regional Office I, will be conducting a Region 1 Tourism Council
Meeting and Birding Activity. A total of 30 participants are targeted to join the said activity which will be
held in a venue in Ilocos Norte. The Region 1 Tourism Council, with DOT as part of the secretariat, shall
convene to discuss the progress and future programs for the tourism sector as well in preparation for the
upcoming celebration of the Tourism Month on September 2025. For the birding activity, the DOT, in partnership with the Department of Environment and
Natural Resources Office and other stakeholders, continues its initiative in documenting the diverse
