Description : As part of the continuing implementation of its watershed enhancement initiatives in the Kaliwa Watershed for this year, the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System-Corporate Office (MWSS-CO) intends to reforest, through community-based approach, a total of 100 hectares of denuded forest areas within Proclamation No. 573 Series 1969 in Rizal Province. Additionally, in order to ensure the survival of the seedlings planted in CY 2024, encompassing 100 hectares also within the Kaliwa Watershed Forest Reserve, maintenance and protection shall be undertaken. The engagement of a site-based group (i.e., People-s Organizations) for the reforestation and maintenance of this critical watershed shall be implemented to bring positive social outcomes with the Kaliwa Watershed Forest Reserve stakeholders as the main beneficiaries.
