Procurement of a Consultant who is both an author/writer and hiker/mountaineer, based on the requirement needed by the agency to be procured using Small Value Procurement (Section 34 of the RA 12009 New Government Procurement Act IRR)

1. Background

The Office of Product Development (OPD), through one of its products, Nature-based Tourism, is developing a comprehensive and visually rich guidebook featuring 100 mountains across the Philippines, aimed at promoting local ecotourism, raising environmental awareness, and showcasing the unique natural and cultural heritage of these mountains. Inspired by the book “100 Famous Mountains of Japan”, the book project will use the author-s extensive hiking and travel experiences as a starting point to feature 100 mountains spread all over the country in a book-length publication.
