Description : TERM OF REFERENCE
DESIGN AND BUILD FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CAGWAIT LEVEL III WATER SYSTEM

I. BACKGROUND

The Cagwait level III water system was established in the year 2004 serving six (6) of eleven (11) barangays of the municipality of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur. The system is drawing surface water from Cagburao creek located in Barangay La Purisima through the intake gallery constructed within the creek. The raw water then passes the initial filtration process through clarifier tank located approximately two hundred meters downstream of the intake box.

The initially filtered water is transported by gravity towards treatment facility located along national highway at Purok 3B, Barangay La Purisima via five kilometers ten (10”) inches uPVC transmission line. The water is finally filtered using a 400 cubic meter capacity per day Automatic Microfiber Filter Machine (AMF 92K) and treated with chlorine through dosing pump before it is distributed to water subscriber.
