Like the base of an iceberg, care work supports everything above it, yet it often remains invisible, undervalued, and unrecognized in policies and investments. Thus, while care is essential, it is rarely visible or adequately supported.
  
  Globally and in the Philippines, women continue to shoulder a disproportionate share of unpaid care and domestic work due to persistent gender stereotypes and social expectations.
