Description : The proposed well shall be drilled by either mud-rotary or percussion method, the former is
preferred. A pilot hole should be initially drilled to the target depth which varies based on
profiles, using an 6-8 inches drill bit. Samples of the drill cuttings should be collected at every
meter of penetration and properly labeled for lithologic examination. It is recommended that
when available, electric logging be carried out to determine the exact position of the intake
structures of the well. After electric logging, the borehole should be reamed to its final diameter
of 8-10 inches. The well shall be completed according to the final water-well design that will
be prepared after the analysis and interpretation of the lithologic and electric logs.
