Description : Community participation to be rendered in the conduct of “Participatory Varietal Selection (PVS): Accelerating the Adoption of Newly Released Inbred Rice Varieties Thru Field Testing and Farmers- Preference “, 2023 on Irrigated Lowland (Inbred) Ecosystem to be conducted at Isabela, Negros Occidental.
1. Wet Season (June 6 - September 19, 2023)
1. Field Irrigation
2. Land Preparation (plowing, harrowing (2X) and leveling)
3. Seeding of different rice varieties
4. Transplanting of seedlings of different rice varieties
5. Replanting of missing hills
6. Hand weeding
7. Spot hand weeding
8. Roguing of mixed varieties per plot
9. Harvesting and threshing of grain yield samples
10. Drying and winnowing of different rice varieties
