Description : I. BRIEF BACKGROUND :
The Philippines- Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) have a partnership agreement with the EU-funded CRIMARIO project to improve coordination and information sharing for maritime security and operations across the Indo-Pacific region and Indian Ocean. The platform allows national and regional agencies to jointly plan operations, manage incidents, and exchange information in real time.
Maritime Stakeholders as well as Senior Officials from over fifty (50) countries are participating to this highly anticipated gathering in Metro Manila as they undergo intensive dialogue, live demonstrations, and collaborative planning to strengthen the multinational governance of the IORIS platform and explore new policy directions to further interagency and international coordination.
