Water Meter Specifications:
I. Type of Meter:
• Turbine or propeller type
• Hermetically or vacuum sealed
• Sealed register
II. Main Casing:
• The body casing shall be cast iron or ductile iron
• Coating shall be epoxy or polyester
• Flange type
• Complete with companion flange and BNG
III. Performance:
• The supplier shall be required to submit test results. The test parameters shall include the
Maximum Flow, Nominal Flow, Transitional Flow and Minimum Flow.
• The BWD shall accept the water meters based on the test results submitted by the supplier.
IV. Working Pressure:
• The maximum working pressure shall be 16 bars
V. Other Features:
• Meter should be designed for easy assembly and disassembly without the use of special
tools or equipment and should be easy to maintain and repair.
• Register Capacity: Maximum of six (6) digits.
• The water meter could be installed horizontally, inclined or vertically
• The supplier must submit distributorship certification
