STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR 1⁄2” Ø, 3⁄4” Ø, AND
11⁄2” Ø WATER METERS
I. TYPE OF METER:
a) Multi-jet dynamically balanced vane wheel. (DMD-A)
b) Register assembly must be dry type hermetically sealed.
c) Anti-magnetic. Magnetic coupling must be protected from external magnetic fields of 1,500 gauss.
d) With removable strainer at the inlet with an effective area of at least three (3) times the body inlet.
e) The dial lens shall be high impact glass lens and abrasion resistant.
f) Regulator knob must be located outside the meter casing and shall be provided with a seal protector.
II. DIMENSIONS:
· The size of the meter means the clear internal diameter inlet to all outlet from meter
· The overall length of the meter between connector faces shall be as follows:
