PROJECT RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES

To deepen the commitment to ending of violence against women and to build a safer, more just future for women and girls in the Philippines, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), together with the Inter-Agency Council on Violence against Women and their Children (IACVAWC), calls on every Juan and Juana to stand in solidarity through the annual 18-Day Campaign to End VAW.

In this regard, the DOT MIMAROPA is extending its support to the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in the implementation of the annual “Orange Your Icon” campaign, which will run from November 25 to December 12, 2025. This initiative forms part of a global advocacy to raise awareness on gender-based violence and promote the rights, dignity, and empowerment of women and girls.
